India and England in Group A of ICC World T20 2012

The ICC World T20 2012 schedule is out as the ICC announced it at a function on Wednesday. ICC also showcased the logo of the premier event. India and defending champions, England are pitted against each other in Group A of World T20 which will be held in Sri Lanka from September 18 to October 12, 2012. Colombo, Pallekele and Hambantota will be venues for the men's tournament, while the women's group games will be played in Galle.

Watson’s blistering knock power Royals to 10-wicket win over Mumbai

Shane Watson scored a blistering 47-ball 89 to power Rajasthan Royals to a convincing 10-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in its final match of the Indian Premier League in Mumbai on Friday. This is Mumbai’s third defeat on the trot and their survival in the tournament leans heavily on their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. Watson's aggression with the bat, came after his exploits with the ball and on the field. The marauding Watson was at his punishing best as he demolished Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh and Lasith Malinga to all parts of the field.

Gilchrist famous walk upholds spirit of cricket

In the 2003 Cricket World Cup, Adam Gilchrist proved with an act of sportsmanship that generated almost universal approval along cricket supporters, match officials that was watched with general bemusement. It was the semi-final, and Gilchrist attempted to sweep the off spin of Aravinda de Silva, got a thin edge onto his pad and was caught behind. Rudi Koertzen, the umpire, did not respond to Sri Lanka's appeals but Gilchrist did. He paused, waited for the umpire's decision, then turned and headed for the pavilion.
